How to use Password Generator

Why use a strong password?
Longer passwords with a varied set of characters provide more possible combinations than short, simple passwords. Using unique passwords for different services also helps reduce the impact if one account is compromised.
How does this Password Generator create passwords?
The generator uses the browser's Web Crypto API throughcrypto.getRandomValues()to obtain random values. At least one character is selected from each character type enabled by the user, and the resulting characters are shuffled before the password is displayed.
Is the generated password sent to a server?
No. Password generation happens directly in your browser. The generated password is not sent to a KitDevTools backend or stored by this tool.
